BBK MUSIC is a music brand rooted in tradition yet carrying its vision into the future with an innovative production approach.
Our company’s story begins in 1996 when our founder, Barış Yekta Karatekeli, entered the Ege University State Turkish Music Instrument Making Department. After graduating in 2000, he continued his passion for instrument making professionally.
In 2010, together with his wife Gül Karatekeli and his brother Bilgin Karatekeli, he brought to life the long-awaited dream of string production. The production journey, which started with oud strings, gradually expanded to include bağlama strings, strings for Greek instruments, and guitar strings.
BBK MUSIC not only focused on production but also closely observed the world’s leading companies in the field, bringing the most advanced machinery from countries such as Germany and Italy to continuously improve its quality and production capacity.
